Annie O’Carroll’s calabrese

Ingredients
1 ear corn
350g broccoli (calabrese)
1/2 red chilli, de-seeded and chopped
2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
1 tbsp sesame oil
1/2 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
2 tbsp soy sauce
Instructions
This dish comes from one of my old friends Annie, which is quick and easy to make – perfect for mums in a hurry! Break broccoli into florets. The stalks may also be used, by cutting into thick batons. Slice the corn into rings through the husk about 1 1/2cm wide. Toss vegetables in the sesame oil and roast in the oven, on a high heat, for 10 minutes. Add garlic, chilli and sesame seeds and mix through. Return to oven for 5 minutes more. When you remove the vegetables from the oven, sprinkle with soya sauce straight away.
Serve immediately.
